Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois fight to become the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion of the world on Saturday, July 19th, at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
This is the second time Usyk and Dubois have fought. Their first boxing fight occurred in August 2023 and concluded with Usyk defeating the powerful Brit in the ninth round, thereby successfully defending his unified WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles. However, there has always been a dispute from Dubois and his team that Usyk delivered a low punch which went unnoticed.
Following the victory over Dubois, Usyk went on to achieve two consecutive wins against Tyson Fury, making history as the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the ‘four belt era’ during their landmark fight in May of the previous year.
Dubois has been favoured to triumph over Usyk, although the undefeated and undisputed champion will present his most formidable challenge to date.
Usyk is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all-time, having secured victories against champions such as Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Dubois with his never surrender attitude.
For both Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois, this contest represents more than just the titles at stake. For Usyk, it offers an opportunity to resolve the low blow controversy, while for Dubois, it provides a chance to overcome one of the few individuals who has managed to beat him.
