Watch Chelsea vs PSG in the FIFA Club World Cup Final Live

What initially started as a one-off match between the champions of Europe vs the champions of South America, has grown exponentially; and this summer, in its third reiteration of the FIFA Club World Cup saw 32 teams from across all six FIFA confederations compete in the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

This new format featured twelve teams from Europe, six from South America, four from Africa, four from Asia, four from North, Central America and Caribbean, one from Oceania, and one team from the United States.

Sixty-three matches have been played and only two teams remain. And though the current holders Manchester City and Real Madrid were among the favourites, it is Chelsea who will play Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the final on Sunday 13th July at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, New York.

Chelsea beat the last non-European team, Fluminense, to reach the final of this year’s expanded FIFA Club World Cup. The Brazilian club are captained by former Chelsea and PSG central defender, Tiago Silva.

Chelsea have enjoyed a good tournament with the youngest Premier League squad showing more signs of cohesion and playing for each other as a maturing team unit under the strict management of Enzo Maresca. And with two new signings, Liam Delap signed from Ipswich and Joao Pedro signing from Brighton just last week, Chelsea may have resolved the problem of wasted chances and a lack of goals.

Joao Pedro was given his first start by Enzo Maresca after signing for the current UEFA Conference League holders, just last week; and Pedro repaid his new manager and new team-mates with two exceptional goals, either side of the half-time break.

The other semi-final saw two European super heavyweights come head-to-head as the current UEFA Champions League and French Ligue 1 champions PSG, lined up against the team that has been crowned champions of Europe no less than 15 times, Real Madrid.

French strikers and former team-mates, Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe spearheaded the attacks. But it was PSG from the kick-off that totally dominated and outclassed a star-studded Real Madrid under the new management of former player Xabi Alonso.

It took PSG just six minutes to score the opening goal. Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz scored twice, as PSG romped to victory four goals to nil. Alonso took the blame for the defeat stating he in an honest post-match interview suggesting his starting line-up was to blame for the very one-sided match.

PSG will now play Chelsea in the final on Sunday and look odds-on to become FIFA Club World Cup champions for the first time in their history, just two-months after being crowned champions of Europe.

The FIFA Club World Cup Final will kick-off at 8pm UK time on Sunday 13th July, just four weeks until the start of the English Premier League and other European football leagues. There will be no respite for Chelsea who, as a result, may suffer from burn-out in the toughest league in the world. You can watch every single match of the English Premier League 2025/26 season with an UK IPTV pass. But with the winners of the FIFA Club World Cup receiving an eye-watering £100 million in prize money, the club owners as well as the players will be totally focused on winning the FIFA Club World Cup.
